Earlier this year, the PROMISE Consortium convened an international, multidisciplinary effort focused on a fundamental shift in IBD research: moving prevention upstream.
That effort has now culminated in a newly published white paper in Gastroenterology. The paper outlines a research roadmap to advance early identification, risk stratification, and prevention strategies for inflammatory bowel disease, integrating insights across genomics, the microbiome, immune biology, and environmental exposures.
